Do you strive to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world? Are you passionate about loving and helping the poor? We know we will always have the poor with us, which means it's important to know how to reach out to them. Whether you volunteer in a local food pantry or build houses in developing countries, Impact of Hope is about equipping you, your team or your staff to more effectively reach and minister to the poor both near and far. It's about taking the message of the love of Christ beyond your four walls to those who desperately need hope.

  Featured Guests

Charles R. Lane, Author of "Ask, Thank, Tell: Improving Stewardship Ministry in Your Congregation" and Director of the Center for Stewardship Leaders, Luther Seminary

Joan Dougherty, Volunteer Coordinator at Rose Brooks Center who will be talking about volunteer management for ministry leaders.

The Executive Service Corps,  a Kansas City nonprofit consulting firm will offer a presentation called "It's OK to Say No: A strategic approach to mission/outreach"

The Impact of Hope Conference will teach you:

- how your church can get a "reputation" for being a center of profound ministry to the poor

- how to bring a strategic rather than a "shotgun" approach to ministry

- how to keep and retain a strong volunteer base

- how to use social media to strengthen your ministry to the poor

Come and learn how you and your church can increase and strengthen your ministry to "the least of these among you" (Mt.25:40).

Cost: $30, which includes materials, continental breakfast and lunch

Registration and breakfast starts at 8:00 a.m.
